Ramakrishna Tharini is an Advocate & Solicitor specializing in clinical negligence litigation. He graduated in medicine from Queen Mary University of London with a double distinction before pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Law at City University, London, and was subsequently called to the English Bar at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Following completion of his pupillage in Malaysia, he was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and has built a practice focused on clinical negligence claims, with his medical background providing a unique insight on navigating complex medico-legal issues that often arise in clinical negligence litigation. He has also represented clients in proceedings before the Malaysian Medical Council and Malaysian Dental Council. A regular speaker on subjects related to medical law, he is a life member of the Medico-Legal Society of Malaysia and is the co-author of the text ‘Medical Law and Ethics in Malaysia’.
