Dr. Lim is a General Surgeon in private practice in Kuching, with 42 years experience as a RMP, and 35 as a surgeon. He is still in active clinical practice, albeit at the stage of slowly tailoring down towards retirement as well as increasing commitments at the Malaysian Medical Council. He has been involved in the MMC the last 10 years, and currently in his 3rd term as a Council Member. He chairs several committees in the MMC, including the Ethics Committee, the Draft Charge Committee, and Evaluation Committee for Primary Medical Qualifications. He has been involved in the disciplinary process under the MMC for 10 years, both at the Council level under the old Medical Act, and in the Disciplinary Board 4, where he is the Deputy Chairman. He has a thorough knowledge of the disciplinary processes of the MMC, as well as the Medical Act, Regulations, and the ethical guidelines of the MMC. He is also an examiner for the MRCS Part B (OSCE) examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
